Born in 1994, Ron Veprik began his double bass studies at the age of 15 with Mr. Ran Ben Naftali. He graduated from the Haifa "Reut" school of art, played in the "Bnei Hakibutzim" Orchestra and in the Young Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra. During his military service he took part in the "Polyphony Education" program as a principal player.

Ron presently is doing his B.A studies in double bass performance at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in the class of prof. Sergei Gralnik. He has recently won an excellence scholarship for studying at the Liszt Music Academy in Budapest, Hungary, with prof. Peter Kubina.

Ron also is a laureate of the "Ima" foundation scholarship for excellence in chamber music (JAMD). As part of his studies in the academy he studied viola da gamba and baroque music with miss Nima Ben David. Apart from the standard repertoire Ron takes part in performance of contemporary music as a soloist and as a guest player with the "Tedarim" ensemble, including pieces that were written for him by composers such as Michael Wolpe, Tzipi Fleischer and more. Ron played concerts and recitals in Germany, Belgium and Hungary, plays regularly with most Israelis orchestras and participated in masterclasses with prof. Michael Klinghoffer, prof. Zsolt Feirvari, prof. Steven Elisha, prof. Margrete Uruqhart and more.
Ron is a member of the PHOENIX ensemble and his main field of interest is historical performance and he intends to continue his studies in this field.
