Chen Holtzman

Mezzo-soprano
Chen is the recipient of multiple grants and competitions including 2nd place in the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music Vocal Competition, the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music Excellence Scholarship, and the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship. Recently performed roles include Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Madam Flora (The Medium), Miss Todd (The Old Maid and the Thief), 3rd Dame (Die Zauberflöte), and Old Lady (Candide). Holtzman has attended the Summer Opera Program in Tel-Aviv by The Israel Vocal Art Institute (IVAI) and the Perugia Music Fest. Other notable roles and appearances include Mother and Black Cat (L’enfant et les sortilèges), Prince Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus), and Nireno (Giulio Cesare in Egitto). Holtzman has just received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in Tel-Aviv University under the tutelage of Prof. Sharon Rostorf-Zamir. Chen is preparing for a busy year applying to several Master’s programs around the world.
